Acer introduced two new gaming laptops at the IEM Katowice Counter-Strike tournament in Poland, expanding its Predator Helios Neo AI lineup. The new models, Helios Neo 16 AI and Helios Neo 18 AI, are equipped with cutting-edge technology to deliver high-performance gaming experiences.

Both laptops can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU, ensuring top-tier gaming power. They feature a sleek, minimalist design, enhanced with RGB logos on the lid and dynamic 4-zone RGB keyboards. Gamers can customize their setups with up to 64GB of RAM and up to 2TB of internal storage, making these laptops powerful enough for gaming and creative workloads.

Connectivity is a major focus, with both models integrating Intel Killer Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E, optimizing online gameplay for minimal lag. Additionally, they support NVIDIA G-SYNC, Advanced Optimus, and MUX Switch for a smoother gaming experience with reduced latency and screen tearing.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI features an OLED WQXGA display with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time, offering vibrant colors and ultra-smooth visuals. On the other hand, the Helios Neo 18 AI sports a Mini LED WQXGA panel with a slightly higher 250Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time, designed as a powerful desktop replacement.

Acer is positioning the Neo 16 AI as a portable powerhouse, while the Neo 18 AI is marketed as an alternative to traditional gaming desktops. Both models cater to gamers looking for top-tier performance in different use cases.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI will be available in the U.S. in April 2025, starting at $1,900, while the Neo 18 AI will hit the market in May, starting at $2,200. Acer has been on an innovation streak, recently unveiling three new laptops and a handheld gaming device at CES 2025.
