Asus has launched the ProArt Cinema PQ09U, a massive 162-inch micro-LED monitor designed for professional creators and broadcasters. This 4K UHD HDR display boasts exceptional image quality, featuring a 0.93mm pixel pitch that results in significantly sharper visuals compared to competitors with larger pixel pitches. The monitor’s high peak brightness of 1200 nits and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio ensure vibrant and detailed images, perfect for color-critical work such as video editing and film production. It’s 97% DCI-P3 color gamut further enhances color accuracy.
The sheer scale of the PQ09U makes it ideal for applications beyond typical desktop use. Its size is perfect for home cinema setups, screening rooms, or large-scale design presentations. The use of ultrasmall pixels ensures clarity even from close viewing distances, a critical advantage in professional creative environments. Furthermore, the monitor incorporates AI-enhanced tools, leveraging NPUs and AI GPUs to accelerate creative workflows, integrating seamlessly with Asus’s ProArt ecosystem of motherboards, graphics cards, and workstations.
Complementing the flagship PQ09U, Asus also announced the PA27USD, a smaller business monitor offering compact HDR performance and versatile I/O options. The PQ09U itself features advanced networking capabilities, including ultra-reliable 10GbE networking and WiFi 7, facilitating fast and secure file sharing. This robust connectivity ensures seamless collaboration and efficient data transfer for demanding projects.
While Asus previously showcased a similar 162-inch monitor (model PQ09) at NAB 2025, the exact differences between the two models remain unclear. Although the core specifications appear largely identical, the PQ09U may offer subtle refinements in panel calibration or HDR performance. Pricing and availability for the ProArt Cinema PQ09U are yet to be officially announced by Asus.
